It works perfectly when using a proper ftp client.

That ought to help him out...
And you still can't deny that HTTP is much more user-friendly than FTP. (And IMHO much better suited for this kind of sharing.)

For those who have problems accessing Kawe's China pictures by ftp I have made a (temporary) "mirror"
here
(I only found 15 pictures, so maybe I have problems too...)
