here's an overview about this year's GO-summer in Leksand

20th / 21st July : Parallel two tournaments, Pair-Go and Ren-Go (3 players a team)
22nd - 24th July: Leksand Open, 5 rounds (2/2/1), 1st prize minimum € 500
22nd - 24thth July: European Women Championship
Professional sessions: 21st July and 24th July, besides comments all the time
24th July, 18:00: Martin's 70th Birthday Party (you are all invited)

Venue: Leksands Folkshögskola
Accomodation: Leksand Folkshögskola, Leksand Strand (Camping-place), Solvi, ...
Meals: Full service at Leksand Folkshögskola

Det har inte kommit så många nyheter om Leksand Open 2013 men förberedelserna är igång. När jag i dag mejlade och frågade Martin gav han ett välmatat program:

20th July: Ren-Go Tournament (for fun)
21st July: Pair-Go tournament or lightning tournamemnt (depends on how many women will show up)
20th - 22nd: Special Qualification tournament for WMG in Beijing (12 top-players on invitation), 5 rounds (2/2/1)
22nd - 24th Leksand Open, 5 rounds (1/2/2)
22nd - 24th European Women Championship, 6 rounds (2/2/2)
24th evening - birthday-party (free meals and drinks)

Han nämner också att proffs kommer att närvara. Så passa på att anmäla Er! Även om det just nu går bara via mejl.

Utöver det Kai skrev så har jag fått veta:

For players in Sweden most important:
Leksand Open, 22-24, 5 rounds, Start Monday 15:00, Entry-Fee € 25 = SEK 220

Accomodation like always: Leksand Folkshögskola Doubleroom SEK 500, Single SEK 375. 24th evening birthday-party (free meal and drinks). "Leksand Camping" and "Solvi" also possible.
Prizemoney Leksand Open about 600 / 400 / 300 / 200 / 100 Euro for the best 5. Professionals will be there.

Han säger också att om man vill anmäla sig via martin.go.europe@gmail.com och berätta när man tänkt dyka upp och lämna Leksand och hur ni vill bo.

Hello,

so, now I finally got it. There's a new webpage where you can register for "your" Go-summer: www.goleksand.org.

Some news:
-- Yoon Young Sun, 8p from Hamburg/Korea, will be in Leksand
-- A lot of doublerooms (SEK 550 per night) are prereserved at Leksands Folkshögskola
-- 10 out of the 12 participants of the special qualification-tournament (played on Saturday, Sunday and Monday) will participate in Leksand Open as well. Average strength: 6 dan ! Probably we'll have in Leksand Open the strongest field ever seen in a single-tournament in Sweden (besides EGC 2008)
-- Another highlight: Women European Championship, I hope on swedish particpants !

I count on you - this toiurnament is for you ! We want to have fun, like always (Ren-Go, Lightning). Also there's a party on Wednesday evening, with German beer, and you are invited.
